Leading quite comfortably by 17-5 well into the third quarter of the match unfortunately Falkirk saw that cushion being diminished in a devastating closing twenty minute spell as they suffered a late injury time try to pip them by a solitary point at Braidholm Road Giffnock last weekend.
Honours were pretty even up until the 12th minute when G.H.A.'s Prop-Forward Michael Scott was yellow-carded for a neck roll at the previous ruck and Falkirk took full advantage, just four minutes later, when Hooker Andrew Simpson crashed over in the corner from a five metre line out and subsequent rolling mall for Falkirk's opening try. However the ball was on the other foot in the 22nd minute when Falkirk's Number Eight Jake Eaglesham also saw yellow, and it was the Glasgow side's turn to take advantage of the numbers game when their Flanker Scott Plumridge got the touchdown following a lengthy period of concentrated pressure on Falkirk' line very shortly afterwards.
Nevertheless, in what was turning out to be a forwards orientated half, Prop Forward Keith Slade put the visitors in the lead when he barged his way over from a five metre ruck near the corner flag in the 32nd minute, with Glen Faulds adding the difficult conversion.

In an evenly contested opening spell of play the score remained unchanged until the 54th minute when Falkirk scored an absolute peach of a try. Winning clean ball from a line-out near G.H.A.'s ten metre line the ball was swept along the back division for Winger Kyle Rowe to take on the burst, before he sent Full-Back Glen Faulds in for a well taken unconverted try.
However the home side struck back on the hour mark amid some controversy, when following a neat build up Full-Back Grant Mollison took the corner flag out as he attempted to get the ball down, after consultation between the Referee and Touch-Judge the try was allowed to stand.
Stand-Off Andrew Goudie then went on to convert a 74th minute penalty for the home side and agonisingly for the Sunnysiders they saw their tenuous 17-13 lead disappear deep into injury time when Inside-Centre Ross Findlay finally broke through for the match winning try.
