Going down to their second league defeat in a row against currently undefeated leaders Jedforest, who put in a more rounded performance and probably deserved their victory,at the end of the day Falkirk were left to rue missed chances with the normally pin-point accurate Liam Brims having an all too rare off day in the kicking department as well as team inaccuracy at vital times.

In a tightly contested opening half, with hardly a straw to draw between the sides, Falkirk drew first blood when Brims converted a 4th minute penalty, but he agonisingly very narrowly missed two more attempts at goal shortly afterwards before Jed's Stand-Off Robbie Yourston replied in kind with a converted penalty in the 14th minute.

With both sides striving to get the upper hand the match remained locked at 3-3 until the 38th minute when Falkirk's Open Side Flanker Marko Mlandenovic was yellow carded for a no arms tackle and Yourston duly slotted over the resultant penalty for the border side. Two minutes into injury time Falkirk were awarded another penalty, with sheer determination written all over his face Brims seemed to have made good contact with the ball but it shaved the left hand upright on the wrong side.

Showing their intent straight after the restart Jed's Right-Winger Callum Young made a lengthy powerful break into Falkirk's 22 metre area and following a series of five metre rucks Loose-Head Prop Connor Hogg barged over for a try which clearly motivated Falkirk for they countered just seven minutes later. Putting some good phases of play together Falkirk won good ground for Scrum-Half Harry Russell to put in an accurate kick to the corner for Right-Winger Kyle Rowe to latch onto and storm his way over for an unconverted try.

However the Borderers yet again showed their mettle, one minute into the last quarter they pressurised Falkirk in their last quarter of the field near the corner and their lanky Full-Back Lewis Young broke through for Jed's second try, with Yourston converting both touchdowns.

Mounting a late injury time counter Falkirk obtained possession from a Jedforest lineout on halfway and went hell for leather towards the visitors' try line with Simon Rolleston sending out a long pass to Kyle Rowe who then dotted the ball down for his brace of tries.
