Closing off the season with their last home fixture of the current campaign Falkirk most certainly cut loose and fancy free with an emphatic nine tries to nil win over Greenock Wanderers at Sunnyside last weekend. With the match only four minutes old Falkirk pressurised Wanderers in their 22 metre area, and from a scrum Stand-Off Ciaran Wood timed his pass to perfection for the intruding Full-Back Jacob Adamson to take the ball at pace and storm in under the posts for the opening try. Straight from the restart,Falkirk ran the ball from the visitors' ten metre line, and showing a good deal of enterprise with slick passing and smart interplay,Lock-Forward Lawrence Miller finished the job off by charging over for a splendid team try. After absorbing a lengthy period of pressure from their adversaries Falkirk clicked back into gear in the 35th minute when Left-Winger Gary Dempsey took advantage of a loose ball and just scythed his way through Wanderers defence from approximately 35 metres out for another fine try. Taking heart from that Falkirk then went on to add two further tries, from Benji Cottle and Stewart McCulloch before the end of the half with Logan Bonar adding five conversions, with the visitors only reply being two converted penalties in the 22nd and 31st minutes respectively, for a Half-Time score of Falkirk 35 Greenock Wanderers 6. By now obviously very much on top Falkirk never took their foot off the pedal and consequently further tries followed from Jacob Adamson,Kris Burney,Cole Ronald and Benji Cottle and a sole conversion from Logan Bonar. Using their substitutes bench well, and no doubt a very proud and emotional moment for his watching parents Bill and Louise, the young 17 year old Connor Faulds took the field for the last quarter of the match and made a very good account of himself indeed and almost added a debut try.
