The tournament consisted of 3 round robins to determine position in each groups followed by a round robin of teams gaining 1st place , 2nd place and 3rd place.

This formatt guaranteed that each team would play 4 games.

Falkirk opened the scoring in each of their matches and ended up losing to Hillfoots and Alloa and winning against the Presidents VII and McLarens.

Falkirk lifted the Shield due to a superior points differance.
