Glamorous they are but it is the style and passion of their rugby that is gorgeous to see

Falkirk Girls U-15 were invited to play in a tournament before the Glasgow Warrior – Munster game on Friday 2nd December.

The team was drawn in a difficult pool with Hillhead/Jordanhill, Annan and East Kilbride.

The girls started nervously against a strong Annan team and drew 1 try each with the Falkirk try being scored by Niamh Bridges.

The second game was against Hillhead and they quickly went behind, but as the game progressed the team rallied and started to take control, but time ran out and they were defeated 3-2. The Falkirk tries were scored by Neive Renolds and Ruby Summers.

The final Pool game was against East Kilbride and from kick off the Falkirk girls dominated the game, showing good handling and defensive skills. The team eventually won 3-0 with tries from Catherine Pollock (2) and Abbie Ledwidge.

Due to this result the girls progressed to the final where they played Annan for the second time. The game was completely different from the first with Falkirk dominating proceedings from the start and soon went ahead through Catherine Pollock. After the restart Falkirk again put Annan under pressure and got the second try through Ruby Summers stretching over the line. Annan hit back scoring with a quick penalty, but Falkirk hit back through Neive Renolds.

The girls had a great day and played superbly as a team, they are eager and looking forward to their next game.
