National Volunteers' Week

National Volunteers' Week

Mark Crawford3 Jun - 11:32

A massive "thank you" to our existing volunteers and an open invitation to get in touch if you could give some time to help out

Falkirk RFC is profoundly grateful to the huge number of incredible people from our Club who generously give their time to help others and grow rugby in our community. Your passion and dedication is inspirational and, quite literally, we couldn't do it without you. But National Volunteers’ Week is more than just a thank you. It is an opportunity to look ahead and imagine how much more we can achieve when we work together.

Over the past year, 14.2 million people in the UK formally volunteered at least once a month. An additional 25m took part in informal acts of kindness, from helping neighbours to organising local events. Together, these efforts contributed an estimated £4.6 billion in productivity gains to the UK economy in 2024.

And volunteering also provides benefits to those who get involved, as well as for the organisations they support. Many volunteers refer to improved personal well-being, enhanced skills, a stronger community connection, personal growth, and potentially even career advancement.

So if you fancy a bit of coaching, helping to maintain our facilities and pitches, learning how to be a Webmaster (!) or putting your social media skills to good use, please let us know.
