Thoughts on last weeks game
At times Kinross really tested our defence as the score reflected but it was a game filled with endeavour and skill from both teams. Saying that we turned off at points in this game and if we want to progress then concentration for the full 80mins has to be an objective from the game. It was great to see both teams show respect to one and other and even though we ran out comfortable winners in the end the Kinross boys fought on till the end.
Thoughts on this weeks game
Broughty Ferry, what a cracking name, it is the home of Panmure RFC who have had a mixed bag of results this season, at times some close games and some where they have not played their best, we are expecting the tougher Panmure. We need to focus on our game plan and the boys have been working hard in training to try and perfect this. We need to remain focused on our structures both defensive and attack, when we have the ball in hand it is about creating the space so that the players can exploit their skills in attack and defensively it is about us denying the Panmure team space and keeping the pressure on them for the 80mins.
Thoughts on selection
We welcome back captain Andrew Gillespie after his foray into thje 1st xv last week, but we lose flanker Andrew McNab who makes his first appearance for the 1's, good luck to him. Also returning is No8 Jamie Sime, who will bring a powerful ball carrying to the pack. We lose Aiden Waters to injury so Gregor Ramsay switches from fullback to wing and Euan Rooney comes of the bench. We are still missing a few through work commitment but we are pleased that Calum Rennie and Sam turner return to the bench
